چکیده
In the recent past, importance of geopolymer concrete as an eco-friendly product to replace portland cement is continuously increasing over time. Yet less research effort has been invested in this area compared with some topical issues civil engineering. Thus, objective article analyse mechanical properties where replaced by fly ash and ground granulated blast-furnace slag (GGBS). Sodium silicate sodium hydroxide 8 molarity solution was used. The compressive strength a cube measured for various mixtures (i.e. G50F50 G F stand GGBS flyash, respectively while numerical value denotes percentage) contents 0, 10, 20, 30, 40%). specimens are 100mmx100mmx100mm ambient curing at 35- 400C. total, 9 cubes, 3 beams cylinders cast 7days, 14days 28days strengths different mixes cubes calculated. For 28days, flexural tensile strength. 7,14 28 days nearly doubled target using instead normal concrete. Compressive about 10% higher 7 20% after replacing 40% cement. Flexural increased 50% when but split only 1%.

Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag
1. Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS) is a by product of the steel industry. Blast furnace slag is defined as “the non-metallic product consisting essentially of calcium silicates and other bases that is developed in a molten condition simultaneously with iron in a blast furnace.” [1] In the production of iron, blast furnaces are loaded with iron o...

In the current work, the properties of cement pastes doped with high amounts of ground granulated blast-furnace slag (HVS) were investigated. Portland cement (PC) was substituted with ground granulated blast-furnace slag (donated as slag) at very high amounts of 85%, 90%, 95% and 100%, by weight. PC paste without any content of slag was used as a reference. Some fresh and hardened properties su...

متن کاملSoil Stabilisation Using Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag
Stabilisation is a broad sense for the various methods employed and modifying the properties of a soil to improve its engineering performance and used for a variety of engineering works. In today‟s day soil stabilisation is the major problem for civil engineers, either for construction of road and also for increasing the strength or stability of soil and reduces the construction cost. In this t...
متن کاملRemoval of Hexavalent Chromium in Portland Cement Using Ground Granulated Blast-Furnace Slag Powder
Using ground granulated blast-furnace slag (GGBS) under different alkaline conditions, we studied the mechanisms and extents of Cr(VI) reduction and sorption and compared them to reactions with Portland cement (PC). We also investigated the effects of mixing PC/GGBS ratios on Cr(VI) dissolution after carbonating the substrates. We observed a complete sorption and reduction of Cr(VI) to Cr(III) ...
